Nurbolat Abdullin

Nurbolat Kadyraliyevich Abdullin, known by his stage name Nurbullin, is a Kazakhstani pop singer born on April 3, 1986, in the village of Zharkamys, Bayganin District, Aktobe Region. He graduated from the music faculty of the Kudaibergen Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University in 2008, after which he moved to Almaty and initially worked as a school music teacher.

His breakthrough came in 2013–2014 when he won the grand prize at the "Kumis Komey, Zheztanday" vocal competition in Almaty performing the folk song "Eki zhiren." In 2014 he represented Kazakhstan at the international "Delbarim" competition in Bishkek, winning the grand prix and a car as the top prize. He later gained wider recognition through the "Zhuldyzdy Zhekpe-Zhek" project on Khabar TV, where he advanced to the final against Kairat Nurtas.

In 2018 he held his first solo concert, "XXI-VII," at the Palace of the Republic in Almaty. In 2022, under the stage name Nurbullin, he released the track "Battle" together with 2Rar. The nickname "Nurbullin" was adopted to distinguish him from his namesake, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdullin. He has been married to Gulfarida Zhubayeva since 2015. His repertoire consists of lyrical and pop songs in Kazakh, and he also plays the dombra.
